Joel arueyawas born in Lagos, Nigeria, he hails from Ughella north local Government in Delta state, Nigeria, had his primary and secondary education in Lagos Nigeria, He soon realized his love for art and apprenticed himself to a small art studio where he learnt a few art tricks, He got admission to study General art at the prestigious Auchi polytechnic , Auchi, Edo State , Nigeria , This gave him a solid foundation to discover his true artistic self , He graduated with a Higher Diploma in fine arts with specialization in Painting. Ten years down the line, he has finally found himself, his paintings are adored by several high profile officers both locally and internationally , beside this he has participated in several group exhibitions and art auctions in Nigeriaa and the united kingdom, such as Marcel’s Attic art auction (UK) ,SOGAL art auction (Nigeria),Terra kulture My Drum Auction House (Nigeria)and several others, he has a two solo exhibitions to his credit one sponsored by Guaranty Trust bank Nigeria , a showcase of what he has been up to in recent times at the Oasis Lounge, Murtala Mohamed International airport, Lago’s Nigeria ,My second solo is powdered by Amg projects/ Artsy Joel Arueya’s solo exhibition ‘MAGIC He also did a two month art residence at “kunst Ayl Art Residemz Quedliburg, Germany, His consistent artistic expressions have paved way for him in the art scene and beyond, interestinly, Otto Gallary(US) featured some of his works. His works were also used for a Sterling Bank advert to promote their love and regard for culture and creativity in a mix with spoken words. He was one of the few artists invited by the government of lagos State. Akinwunmi Ambode to brainstorm on ways to further beautify the state.
